With a reference trajectory in international football, Monchi started his career as sporting director of Sevilla FC in July 2000, a stage in which he consolidated himself as one of the most influential figures in sports management. RCD Espanyol is seeking to strengthen its sports structure with the incorporation of Monchi, who has proven to be able to reverse critical situations in his career. The perico club needs positive conditioning to face the next campaign, which could be in the First or Second Division. The Sevilla fans dreamed of Monchi's return, but finally, it was RCD Espanyol who managed to sign him. The move has caught the Sevilla fans by surprise, who were expecting his return to the nervionense club. However, Monchi has decided to join RCD Espanyol to lead its Sports Area and help the club improve its sports structure.
