The RCDE Escola Granada will continue to grow alongside RCD Espanyol for many years, consolidating its sports and educational project in Andalusia. Born in 2017 and located in the town of Albolote, province of Granada, the school currently has over 500 players, reaffirming its constant growth both in terms of sports and structure. This important project will continue to be linked to the blanquiazul club alongside President Francis Cortacero and Director of Sport Ricardo Martín, two key figures in the development and consolidation of the school over the years. Beyond the large number of footballers, the RCDE Escola Granada stands out especially for the success of its formative and competitive model. The entity currently has teams in National and Division of Honor categories, both in infant and cadet stages, and will soon also be able to do so in the juvenile category, reflecting the enormous work done daily by the technical and human team of the school. During this time, the RCD Espanyol's football development in Barcelona has been able to follow closely the evolution of numerous talents born in Granada. Several players have participated in training and sports experiences at the Dani Jarque Sports City, demonstrating the high competitive and talented level of the project. The project continues to strengthen its links with Barcelona thanks to a coordinated and close work between both structures. In the last institutional visit, Mao Ye, Vice President and CEO of RCD Espanyol; Albert Saus, responsible for the formative programs; and AlbertSantiago, Director of External National Schools, were present. The RCDE Escola Granada represents today much more than a football school. It is a great social and sports blanquiazul work in the Andalusian territory, focused not only on developing talent, but also on forming people through the values of effort, camaraderie, discipline and passion for football and RCD Espanyol. The players and players, coaches and coaches of the school travel several times a year to Barcelona to live unique experiences and receive direct formations from the club, thus reinforcing the link between Granada and RCD Espanyol of Barcelona and allowing young footballers to live closely the methodology and philosophy of a historic entity of Spanish football. With this continuity agreement, the RCDE Escola Granada reaffirms its commitment to continue growing alongside RCD Espanyol and continue being one of the most important youth football projects in southern Spain.
