The club now totals 33,218 members, including 6,672 new non-seat holders compared to last year. League standing: 11th in La Liga, 46 pts, 12W-10D-16L from 38 games, recent form DWWLL.
How RCD Espanyol’s membership base grew in just one year
The growth is striking: on the same date last year, the club had 22,891 season-ticket holders, while today it reaches 28,863. The member renewal window closed on July 15 and, since then, 1,528 new season-ticket holders have joined in just seven days. Club officials point to fan excitement over the new institutional project - following the management change - as the driver behind these record figures.
The numbers reflect the interest of Espanyol’s fanbase in returning to a packed RCDE Stadium. Last season closed with 31,364 season-ticket holders, but the stadium’s total capacity is 37,776. The average attendance was 28,484, the highest in the history of Cornellà-El Prat. Now, with more than 28,000 season-ticket holders in just three weeks, the club is confident it can surpass those records.
Stadium sections already close to selling out
The surge in membership is already visible in stadium occupancy. Areas such as the Lower Corner Tribuna Presidencial Nord have no tickets left, while in other zones like Tribuna, Gol and Córner the "no tickets" sign is about to go up. The club attributes this to the buzz generated by the team’s new era, which aims to regain prominence in La Liga after a campaign with 46 points and an average of 28,484 fans per match.
Goals this season: 43 scored, 55 conceded (-12 goal difference). The fanbase is responding to the sporting project, which kicks off with the goal of cutting the 48-point gap separating Espanyol from leaders Barcelona in the table.
